SCOTUS blog has this on the Massoui petition for certiorari.
It's a death penalty terrorism case. Massaoui is believed by the government to have been the 20th terrorist in the 9-11 Trade Center, Pentagon, and other, attacks.
He's charged with crimes and is to stand trial.
Is he entitled to a fair trial?
Are we going to condemn him on the basis of less than a fair trial?
If that's the case, why not just take him out and shoot him.
This might be more about us than about him.
Forget the 'might.'
It is more about us.
It's about who we really are.
The good guys, or, the black hats.
Take your pick.
